Year 2 Lime
Lime Class Update
Dear Lime Class parents,
Wow, what a fun year we have had! With this being our last class update of the year, we want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continued support throughout year 2. We are incredibly proud of all the children in Lime Class and the progress they have made, both personally and academically. We wish them the best of luck on their transition up to year 3, whether that may be at St Lawrence or a new school.
This half term our topic is ‘Land Ahoy!’ and we have been learning all about compass directions and have used our learning to create our own treasure maps. We have created fantastic fact files on famous pirates, sung sea shanties and learnt all about Grace Darling and the RNLI. The children have written incredible pirate adventure stories which I'm sure they would love to tell you all about!
We were totally amazed by all the effort put into wow day costumes – the children looked incredible and had a wonderful day, painting pirate pictures, creating hats and cutlasses, baking delicious rock cakes, imagining what they would be like as a pirate and finishing with a treasure hunt on the field!
The last few weeks will continue to be just as busy with our transition morning on Friday 8th July and sports day on the 14th July.
