Sporting Events

2017/18 

Autumn Term Events

22nd September - Cross Country, an excellent start to the season with 6 children placed in the top 10, across 4 races!

3rd October - Sports Crew training, children from years 5 & 6 took part in training to encourage sport in school

6th October - Cross Country

13th October - Cross Country

16th-20th October - Year 6 Bikeability

3rd November - Surrey Karate came in to give Karate taster sessions

10th November - Dodgeball tournament

13th November - Karate festival, all children showed high energy and a great enthusiasm towards this great event.

16th November - Football tournament, our year 5 & 6 children came second in this event and showed amazing values throughout.

Spring Term Events

18th January - A Team 7-a-side Football tournament, the team showed fantastic value and came joint second over all

29th January - Gymnastics competition, we came 3rd overall and won the values award, fantastic!

30th January - Indoor athletics at the Howard

8th February - Netball tournament, our team came 4th out of 8 and play increased in standard throughout the tournament

21st February - Launch of Jump Start Johnny - This is a new program that we are launching in shcool

2nd March - Year 2 Pedals course

9th March - Cross country final

12th March - Karate Club performed a demonstration in assmbly

12th March - Tag Rugby tournament

21st March - High 5 Netball tournament, we came 5th overall out of 8 and were 1 point away from 4th, well played team!

26th March - Boys Football tournament

23rd April - Girls Football tournament - Our girls football team made us very proud by showing all our school values throughout this event, getting better and better as the tournament went on.

14th May - Karate club showcased the skills they have been learning, in front of the whole school. We were all very impressed by their discipline and commitment to their sport.

Summer Term Events

18th-22nd June - Feel Good week, Yoga lessons were given to the whole school during the course of the week by Miss Crespo.

25th-29th July - Skipping challenge - The children will be assessed on how many skips they can do in 1 minute and if they can then beat their score.

2nd July - District Sports, our team performed amazingly and won the small schools trophy for the 4th year running, beating the second place team by double the points! We had a magnificent staff and parent presence and looked very smart beneath our brand new sign written gazebo.

5th July - Dance assembly, performed by Dance club students. At St Lawrence we are very lucky to have such a talented group of  children. Our Dance team will showcase the hard work that they have put in this term.

10th July - Rounders tournament

11th July - KS1 Sports Day

12th July - KS2 Sports day

18th July - Year 5 to host Festival of Games
